THE VALLEY — The Tioga and Waverly softball teams play in a final tune-up for the postseason, facing non-league foes.

The Tioga boys, and the Waverly boys and girls golfers also wrap up the regular season this afternoon.

SOFTBALL
Elmira  (11-7) at Waverly (11-5), 4:30 p.m.:
The Lady Wolverines are coming off a 15-0 win over S-VE, while the Lady Express is coming off a 6-3 loss to Union-Endicott.

The teams have two common opponents. Waverly was 0-3 against Edison (losing 8-7 and 4-2) and Corning (losing 10-3), while Elmira was 3-0 (beating Edison 9-3, and Corning 10-2 and 8-1).

Towanda (5-11) at Tioga (12-5): 4:30 p.m.: The Lady Tigers are coming off a 15-1 win over Moravia in the IAC Small School Championship game, while the Lady Knights are coming off a 10-0 win over Sayre.

Tioga hosts IAC rival O-M Thursday at 4:30 p.m. in the opening round of the Section IV, Class C playoffs.

GIRLS GOLF
Waverly at O-M, 4 p.m. @ Hillendale Golf Course:
The Lady Wolverines close the regular season with a match against IAC rival O-M at Hillendale.

Friday, Waverly hosts the IAC Championships at Tomasso’s Golf Course.

BOYS GOLF
Groton at Tioga (12-1), 3:30 p.m. @ Tioga Golf Club:
The Tigers wrap up the regular season today against Groton.

Freshman Sam Taylor and sophomore A.J. Middendorf will be in action Thursday at the Section IV Individual Championships at Cornell’s Robert Trent Jones Golf Course.

Notre Dame at Waverly (2-9), 4 p.m. @ Shepard Hills: The Wolverines wrap up the regular season this afternoon against IAC rival Notre Dame.
