WILLIAMSPORT — Athens juniors Breana Gambrell and Emily Lunger combine for six of the Lady Wildcats’ eight top seeds in the District 4, Class AA girls track & field championships, which begin Thursday afternoon at Williamsport High School.

The top 24 times, heights, and distances qualified for the District 4 Championships, Class AA. The top two in every event automatically qualify for States, as well as anyone who meets the state qualifying mark in the finals.

Breana Gambrell is the top seed in the long jump at 20-feet, 8-inches, and Ariana Gambrell is 12th at 16-feet, 1-inch.

Breana Gambrell is the top seed in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.96 seconds. She is also the top seed in the triple jump at 38-feet.

Lunger is the top seed in the high jump at 5-feet, 5-inches, and Sayre junior Madison Harding is the seventh seed at 5-feet.

Lunger is the top seed in the 200-meter dash in a time of 25.77 seconds, and Athens sophomore Rachel Hutchison is the fourth seed at 26.75 seconds.

Lunger is also the top seed in the 400-meter dash in a time of 57.85 seconds, and Hutchison is the third seed at 59.61 seconds. Senior Shanell Baglini is the ninth seed at 1:02.44.

Ariana Gambrell is the top seed in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 15.73 seconds, and Sayre freshman Julia Boyle is the 10th seed in a time of 16.97 seconds.

The Athens foursome of Ariana Gambrell, Hutchison, Breana Gambrell, and senior Shanell Baglini is the top seed in the 400-meter relay in a time of 49.34 seconds.

The Lady Wildcat foursome of Ariana Gambrell, Baglini, Hutchison, and Lunger is the second seed in the 1,600-meter relay in a time of 4:06.97.

Athens senior Suzanna Searles is the third seed in the discus with a distance of 106-feet, 7-inches, and Sayre senior Molly Ball is the sixth seed at 101-feet, 1-inch.

Athens senior Katherine Shenot is the third seed in the shootout at 35-feet, 1 1/2-inches, and Baglini is the fourth seed in the 800-meter dash at 2:23.59.

The Athens foursome of juniors Caitlyn Powell and Taylor Reynard, Searles, and freshman Hailey Chambers is the ninth seed in the 3,200-meter relay at 10:32.57

Ball is the 11th seed in he javelin at 106-feet, 5-inches, and Athens’ Paige McCarthy is the 15th seed at 101-feet, 9-inches.

Harding is also the 20th seed in the pole vault at 8-feet, 3-inches, and Chambers is the 21st seed in the 1,600-meter run in a time of 5:45.34.

The field events begin at 3 p.m. Thursday, and the track events begin at 4 p.m.
