SAYRE —Northeast Bradford scored in every inning en route to a, 12-1, six-inning win over Sayre here Thursday afternoon in NTL Small School softball action.

The Lady Panthers took a quick 1-0 lead in the top of the first on a one-out double by Gabby Slater, and an RBI single by Annie Williams, but the Lady Redskins bounced back when Kirsten Covey, who reached on a one-out single, scooted home on a two-out dropped strike that allowed Domi Woodruff to reach base.

NEB took a 3-1 lead on a Sayre error in the top of the second and never looked back.

Covey singled and scored, and Kate Cron and Reaghan Zurn each added a single to account for Sayre’s three hits.

Williams earned the win for the Lady Panthers. She allowed an unearned run on three hits, while striking out nine and walking one.

Slater had three hits, including a double, and scored two runs, while McKenna Wheaton had three hits, including a pair of doubles, and scored a run, and Jaycee Brown tripled, doubled, singled, and scored three runs to lead the Panthers’ 15-hit attack.

Sayre, now 1-16, returns to action Friday when it hosts CV.
