BERWICK — Upper Dauphin County scored early and often and stifled the potent Athens bats for a 16-1 win here in the opening game of the Section 3 Little League playoffs.
The usually potent Athens bats managed just one hit — an infield single by Justin Reagan — and were fanned 14 times by UDC pitching.
Athens is back in action against Juniata at 5:30 in the consolation bracket, while Upper Dauphin faces Montoursville.
