Harbor Creek rallied for five runs in the sixth inning to post an 8-4 win over Athens here in West Division action at the Pennsylvania State Little League Championships on Friday.
The loss snapped a 14-game win streak for the Athens Minors.
Luke Newman and Cody Jennings continued their strong performances at the plate, with Newman going 2-for-3 with a home run, and Jennings doubled and scored a run. Marc Felt was also 2-for-3 at the plate with a double.
Newman, Felt and Joe Horn shared the pitching duties, limiting Harbor Creek to six hits, while striking out 11 and walking only two.
Athens faces Collier Township Saturday at 5 p.m. in its final pool-play game. The top two teams from each pool advances advances to the semi-final round. Harbor Creek faces Camp Hill.
