OWEGO TOURNAMENT: ATHENS MAJORS EDGE ENDICOTT IN GAME SHORTENED BY DARKNESS (2010-07-27)

OWEGO —The Athens Majors pounded out 11 hits in support of pitcher Parker May and posted a 9-6 win over Endicott here Saturday in a game shortened to five innings by darkness here at the Owego Tournament.

Sam Perri led Athens with three hits, including a pair of doubles, and three runs scored, while May helped himself with two hits, including a home run, three runs scored and two RBI, and Aaron Barry had two hits, including a double, and three RBI.

Austin Lister also chipped in with some timely hitting, contributing a two-run single, Ryan Segar had a hit and two runs scored, Zach Sheppeck had a hit and an RBI and Shane Colegrove also singled.

May allowed six runs on six hits and two walks, while striking out eight in picking up the complete-game win.

Zack Matisi-Garren and Matt Ogozaly homered for Endicott in the loss.
