YOUTH BASKETBALL: ATHENS 7TH- & 8TH-GRADE TEAM WINS TWO OF THREE IN TRAVEL LEAGUE (2019-01-14)

JOHNSON CITY - The Athens 7th- & 8th-grade travel team won two of three games here Sunday to improve to 4-1 on the season in the Pinnacle Hoops Travel Basketball League at Davis College.

Athens 44, Owego 12
Mason Lister scored 11 points and Carson Smith added 10 to lead Athens to a 44-12 win over Owego.

Korey Miller had eight points in the win, while Evan Sickler scored seven points, and Chris Mitchell chipped in with four points.

Athens 55, Binghamton 47
Mason Lister led a balanced Athens attack with 14 points in a 55-47 win over Binghamton.

Chris Mitchell scored 10 points in the win, while Nicholas Jacob scored nine points, Evan Sickler added eight points, and Connor Mosher chipped in with five points.

Southern Tier Rage 56, Athens 40
Mason Lister led Athens with 11 points, but the Southern Tier Rage pulled away for a 56-40 win.

Evan Sickler and Connor Mosher scored eight points apiece for Athens, Korey Miller scored six points, and Carson Smith chipped in with four points.
