SECTION IV GIRLS BOWLING: WAVERLY'S PLOUSE, HOUSEKNECHT TURN IN TOP 25 PERFORMANCES (2019-02-15)

Valley Sports Report
WAVERLY - Waverly junior Mackenzie Plouse and 8th-grader Victoria Houseknecht both finished in the top 25 here Friday afternoon at the girls bowling Section IV, State Qualifier at the Valley Bowling Center.

Plouse finished 19th with a nine-game tally of 1,615, including a 555 series last week at the Class C Championships, and Houseknecht was 24th with a nine-game total of 1,564, including a 604 series from last week.

Union-Endicott won the Division 1 team title, and Maine-Endwell captured the Division 2 team title. The top six bowlers not on those two teams will represent Section IV at the New York State "Composite" Tournament.

Hancock's Breanna Gleim (1,864), Elmira's Kayla Avery (1,858), Oxford's Erin Howard (1,814), Croning's Brittney Millhollen (1,769), Horseheads' Abbey Marshall (1,753),  and Windsor's Linsey Anders (1,734).

Susquehanna Valley's Lyndsie Jicha (1,732) and Windsor's Vicky Brown (1,692) finished seventh and eighth, respectively, and are the Section IV team alternates.

Plouse, who rolled series of 504 and 556 Friday, finished 13th in the chase for the Section IV team, and Houseknecht, who shot 487 and 473 Friday, was 18th in the standings.

Notre Dame's Rachelle Williams of Wellsburg finished 30th overall with a nine-game tally of 1,510.
