DISTRICT 4 BOYS BASKETBALL: ATHENS OPENS CLASS AAAA PLAYOFFS ON ROAD (2019-02-17)

ATHENS - Athens is the fifth seed, and will open the District 4, Class AAAA boys basketball playoffs on the road Friday.

The Wildcats (14-8) will travel to fourth-seeded Mifflinburg (13-9) for a 7 p.m. start. The winner will face the winner of the game between top-seeded Danville (20-2) and eighth-seeded Jersey Shore (7-15) on a date and time, and site to be determined.

On the other side of the bracket second-seeded Montoursville (16-6) hosts seventh-seed Milton (8-14), and third-seeded Shamokin (14-8) hosts sixth-seeded Lewisburg (11-11).

The top three teams in Class AAAA will advance to the PIAA playoffs.
