JOHNSON CITY "” The Athens 8th- & 9th-grade boys AAU basketball team won the 9th-Grade Division of the Run-N-Gun Classic here Sunday at Johnson City High School.

Athens opened the tournament with a 60-44 win over Scranton-based Electric City Voltz, then topped the Binghamton Bulldogs 61-47.

In the championship game, Athens edged the Waverly-based Red Wave, 45-39.
