VALLEY SPORTS REPORT: IT'S "ALL-VALLEY" WEEK (2017-11-24)
Valley Sports Report
THE VALLEY — “All-Valley” week begins today and stretches through Friday, honoring the top athletes, newcomers, and coaches in each sport, as well as “Crystal Ball” prognostications for the 2018 fall season.

The week wraps up Sunday with “Super 7 Male and Female Athletes of the Fall,” and  “The Final Word” on the 2017 fall season.

The schedule is as follows:

SUNDAY
All-Valley Boys Cross Country Super 7;
All-Valley Girls Cross Country Super 7.

MONDAY
All-Valley Boys soccer team;
All-Valley Girls soccer team;
Crystal Ball look ahead to 2018 soccer seasons.

TUESDAY
All-Valley Volleyball Super 7 teams;
Crystal Ball look ahead to 2018 volleyball season;
Super 7 Storylines of the Fall.

WEDNESDAY
All-Valley Football team;
Crystal Ball look ahead to 2018 football season.

THURSDAY

THE VALLEY — All-Valley Week begins today and stretches through Sunday, honoring the top athletes and newcomers in each sport, as well as “Crystal Ball” prognostications for the 2018 spring season.

Then, Monday through next Wednesday, Valley Sports Report will be honoring the top athletes and newcomers of the 2016-17 sports seasons, and reflecting back on the year.

Both the portions of the postseason parade will feature “The Final Word” — first on Sunday with thoughts on the spring season, and then on the 21st with final thoughts on the 2016-17 sports year.

ATHENS — For the first time in years, Athens will enter a season with little experience, and a lot of questions.

WAVERLY — Waverly sophomore Melina Ortiz has been named an all-state performer on the New York State Sportswriters & Coaches all-state girls soccer teams.
