ATHENS - Elk Lake won the meet-closing 400-yard freestyle relay to rally for a 78.5 to 75.5 win here Friday afternoon in non-league boys swimming action.

In a back-and-forth meet, Athens led 71.5 to 70.5 heading into the final event, but the Elk Lake foursome was able to pull out the win to seal the victory.

Senior Trent Nevill was a triple-winner for the Wildcats, while sophomore Mason Henderson and freshman Kyle Anthony were double-winners.

Neville, teamed with sophomore Zac Gowin, senior Robert Kisner and sophomore Joe Toscano to win the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 2:06.58.

Neville also teamed with Henderson, Anthony, and freshman Kaden Gorsline to win the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:47.44.

Neville won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:04.26, while Henderson won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time f 1:22.58.

Anthony won the 1-meter diving competition with 171.8 points, and freshman Kaden Gorsline was second with 125.9 points.

Gowin finished second in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:18.72, and second in the 500-yard freestyle in 6:17.64, while Henderson was second in the 200-yard IM in 2:35.61.

Toscano finished second in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:02.77, and freshman Reuven Gifeisman was third in 1:03.51.

 Anthony finished third in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 27.58 seconds, and Giefisman was third in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:23.71.

Athens travels to Williamsport Tuesday.
