ATHENS "” C&N Bank received a pair of strong pitching performances to notch wins over Gannon Insurance, and the Athens Firemen to improve to 3-0 on the season in Athens Little League Majors Division baseball action.

C&N Bank 12, Gannon Insurance 2
Nick Grazul and Eli Chapman combined on a four-hitter to lead C&N Bank to a 12-2 win over Gannon Insurance Tuesday.

Grazul allowed two runs on three hits, while striking out 10 and walking two in four innings of work to earn the win. Chapman closed the game with a scoreless inning of relief, with one strikeout.

Grazul was 3-for-3 at the plate with a double, three runs scored, and four RBI, while Rodney Chapman was 3-for-3 with a double, and one RBI, and Troy Rosenbloom swatted a pair of rifles, scored three runs, and drove in one run.

Brodie Walker singled twice and scored two runs for C&N Bank, while Collin Dawson doubled, scored one run, and had three RBI, Eli Chapman singled, scored one run, and knocked in one run, Alex Thompson singled and drove in one run, and Dalton Hall singled and scored one run.

Xavier Watson tripled and drove in one run, while Carson Rowe and Connor Davidson each singled and scored one run to account for Gannon's three hits in the loss.

C&N Bank 4, Athens Firemen 1
Grazul fired a one-hitter to lead C&N Bank to a 4-1 win over the Firemen April 23.

Grazul fanned 16 and walked one in six innings of work, allowing only an unearned run in earning the win.

Troy Rosenbloom doubled and singled, scored two runs, and knocked in one run, while Grazul singled twice, scored one run, and drove in one run, and Eli Chapman singled twice and scored one run to account for C&N Bank's six hits. Alex Thompson added an RBI in the win.

Ethan Hicks singled and Cooper Robinson scored one run to account for the Firemen's offense.

Robinson was tagged with the loss, allowing three runs on five hits, while striking out seven and walking one in four innings of work. Duncan Thetga pitched two innings in relief, allowing one run on one hit, while striking out four and walking one.
