SAYRE LITTLE LEAGUE (MINORS): WILLIAMS TOYOTA ROLLS TO 14-3 WIN OVER LEGION POST #283 (2019-05-03)

SAYRE "” Williams Toyota built a 9-0 lead after two innings and cruised to a 14-3 win over American Legion Post #283 here Thursday night in Sayre Little League Minors Division baseball action.

Ty Owen had three hits, including a home run, scored three runs, and drove in three  runs to pace Williams Toyota at the plate, while Blake Zingeser tripled, scored two runs, and drove in two runs, Isaac Roy singled and scored two runs, and Charlie Salsman added a single.

Michael Sutryk scored two runs in the win, while Declan Barry, Aiden Malorzo, and Ethan Frye each crossed the plate once.

Owen earned the win, allowing one run in two hitless innings, while striking out six and walking two. Zingeser closed the game, allowing two run on two hits, while striking out four and walking three in two innings of relief.

Riley McGaughey singled and drove in one run, and Tucker Green singled and scored one run to account for the Legion's two hits, while Ahren McCarthy and Brayden Northrup each scored one run.
