ATHENS TOWNSHIP "” Courtney Wagner turned in a strong pitching performance, and Kaylee Peterson paced SAL Ladies Aux. #283 to a 15-2 win over Masco here Saturday afternoon in Valley ASA Majors Division softball action.

Wagner tossed a two-hitter, striking out 11 and walking two to earn the win for SAL, which is now 3-0.

Peterson doubled and singled and had three RBI to pace SAL's five-hit attack, while Kailey Bentley singled, scored two runs, and drove in two runs, Emma Renninger singled and scored two runs, while Hanna Shutter singled, scored one run, and drove in one run.

Destiny Henderson, Courtney Wagner, Alexis Roberts, and Gretchen Schmieg scored two runs apiece, and Tayanna Andrews crossed the plate once.

Jillian Bradley singled and scored one run, while Madison Smith added a single, and Lillie Kirk scored a run to account for Masco's offense.

Braelyn Wood started in the circle for Masco, allowing eight runs on three hits, while striking out five and walking six in four inning.
