YOUTH BASEBALL: NICHOLS-TIOGA OUTLASTS VESTAL IN OWEGO LITTLE LEAGUE 10U TOURNAMENT OPENER (14 PHOTOS) (2019-07-02)

OWEGO - Nichols-Tioga (Sindoni) opened Owego Little League 10U Tournament pool play with a home run, triple and double. That would set the stage for a high-scoring 14-11 victory over Vestal (Gorey) here Monday.

Talon Relyea, who delivered the inside-the-park dinger to start the game, added a double and went 3-for-4. He also pitched the first four innings. 

Josh Rought was 3-for-4 at the plate as well and smacked a pair of triples in the process.

Gavin Kithcart and Jaxon Bidwell both went 2-for-3, and Bidwell closed out the game on the mound in the fifth.

Kaiden Sindoni went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and Brayden Lounsbury was 2-for-4 with one double.

Christian Crawn, Jacob Guiles and Eli Vargason each went 1-for-3, and Jacob Shipman scored twice to help the effort.

Nichols-Tioga faces Maine-Endwell (Sonner) Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
