SECTION IV GIRLS GOLF: WAVERLY DROPS DECISIONS TO HORSEHEADS, CORNING IN SEASON OPENER (5 PHOTOS) (2024-03-26)

BIG FLATS, N.Y. — Junior Breanne Robinson shot a 47, but Waverly dropped decisions to Horseheads, and Corning here Tuesday afternoon in the first Section IV girls golf action of the season here at Willowcreek Golf Course.

Horseheads picked up a pair of wins with a four-player aggregate of 210, while Corning tallied a 223, and Waverly shot a 239.

Croning’s Delaney Abel earned low-medal honors on the day with a 39, while Horseheads’ Ava Fairbrother was third with a 48.

Sophomore Addison Hunt shot a 61 for the Wolverines, while sophomore Sophia Sileo added a 63, and senior Natalie Lauper tacked on a 68.

Waverly returns to action Thursday when it hosts STAC rival Vestal.
