IAC JV SOFTBALL: TIOGA ROLLS TO DOUBLEHEADER SWEEP AT MARATHON (2024-04-19)

MARATHON — Tioga improved to 3-0 on the season with a pair of wins over Marathon here Tuesday in IAC junior varsity softball action.

Tioga won a 14-2 four-inning decision in the opener, and a 15-3 decision in a game shortened to three innings by darkness.

Tioga 14, Marathon 2
Kate Kithcart led Tioga at the plate, and earned the win in the pitcher’s circle.

Kithcart had three hits, including two doubles, and one run scored for the Tigers, while Lindsey Jeffrey  tripled and singled, scored one run, and had one RBI, Irie Lynch singled twice and scored two runs, and Adrienne Delmage tripled and scored one run.

Raegan Foley singled and scored two runs in the win, while Jade Keaty scored two runs and had one RBI, Samantha Golden scored three runs, Peyton Russell scored one run and had an RBI, and Brianna Lounsbury scored one run.

Tioga 13, Marathon 5
In the nightcap, Foley had two hits and scored one run to pace Tioga at the plate in 13-5 win over Marathon, while Kithcart singled and scored two runs, and Lynch singled and scored two runs.

Russell singled and scored one run for Tioga, while Jeffrey scored three runs, Lounsbury scored two runs, Delmage and Keaty each crossed the plate once, and Golden had one RBI.
