THE VALLEY —  Baseball and softball comprise the majority of Friday’s docket, with the marquee match-up featuring an unbeaten Oneonta baseball team visiting Waverly, but the Lasagna Track & Field Invite in Wyalusing headlines the day’s action.

BASEBALL
Athens (4-6) at Wellsboro (2-5) (2), 3 p.m.:
The Wildcats are coming off a 5-1 loss to Troy Tuesday, while the Hornets dropped a 2-0 decision to NP-Mansfield.

Athens has lost two in a row, and three of its last four, while Wellsboro is on a four-game losing skein.

Williamson (1-11) at Sayre (4-5), 4:30 p.m.: The Redskins are coming off a come-from-behind, 8-7 eight-inning win over Cowanesque Valley Wednesday, while the Warriors dropped a 10-1 decision to Northeast Bradford Tuesday.

Sayre won the first meeting of the season, 16-2.

Tioga (7-2) at Trumansburg (9-1-1), 4:30 p.m.: The Tigers are coming off a 5-4 loss to Moravia Wednesday, while the Blue Raiders edged Edison, 4-3, on Monday.

Oneonta (10-0, 8-0) at Waverly (12-1, 11-0) 5 p.m.:
The Wolverines are coming off a 16-4 win over Susquehanna Valley Monday, while the Yellowjackets topped Norwich, 5-1, on Tuesday.

SOFTBALL
Athens (3-5) at Wellsboro (2-6) (2), 3 p.m.:
The Wildcats are coming off a 4-3 setback to Troy Tuesday, while the Hornets dropped a 16-0 decision to North Penn-Liberty.

Williamson (3-9) at Sayre (2-6), 4:30 p.m.: The Redskins are coming off a 16-0 loss to Cowanesque Valley Wednesday, while the Warriors dropped a 6-1 non-league decision at Corning.

Williamson blanked Sayre, 18-0, earlier this season.

TRACK & FIELD
Athens, Sayre, Waverly at Lasagna Invite, 3 p.m. @ Wyalusing:
Waverly sprinters Ralph Johnson and Micah Chandler, and the Wolverine 400- and 1,600-meter relay teams will look to build on their success this season, while Sayre’s Marco Quiros, and Athens’ Kelley Reid will look to challenge them.

On the girls side, Athens’ Sara Bronson, Abby Burgess, and Emma Pernaselli, Sayre’s Rose Shikanga, and Waverly’s Makenzie Olmsted, Mackenzie Chamberlain, and Kaylin Twedt  will look to reach the podium.

Tioga at Ithaca Relays, 4:30 p.m.:
