COLLEGE BASEBALL: SAYRE GRAD WILLIAMS SINGLES IN FIRST AT-BAT OF SEASON FOR ST. BONAVENTURE (2019-03-03)

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Sayre grad Matt Williams, a sophomore on the St. Bonaventure baseball team, stroked a pinch-hit single in the Bonnies season-opening 16-3 loss to Villanova at the Snowbird Classic here Saturday afternoon.

Williams, who was hampered by injuries last season, had one hit in eight at-bats, scored two runs, and drive in a run during his freshman season. He also walked twice for a .300 on-base percentage.

St. Bonaventure continues its spring trip against Mount St. Mary's at Port Charlotte.
