BINGHAMTON — Sophomore Derek Johnson and senior Trenton Sindoni led the Waverly boys to a sweep of Chenango Valley, while the Lady Wolverines used balanced scoring in a sweep here Thursday afternoon in STAC bowling action.

BOYS
Waverly 5, Chenango Valley 0

Johnson fired a 681 series and Sindoni shot a 680 to lead the Wolverines to a 5-0 win over Chenango Valley.

Waverly won the first game 1,018-980, then followed it up with wins of 898-798, and 1,026-924 for a total-pinfall victory of 2,942 to 2,702.

Johnson shot his series on games of 214, 233, and 234, and Sindoni recorded games of 265, 228, and 187.

Sophomore Tristan Campbell shot a 577 series, including a 255, while senior Carter Hayes had a 572, including a 211, and senior Dom Wood added a 433.

Nate Adams led CV with a 600 series, and Austin Greenum added a 584.

GIRLS
Waverly 5, Chenango Valley 0

Seventh-grader Ariel Houseknecht paced Waverly in a sweep of Chenango Valley.

Waverly won the first game 668-540, and followed it up with wins of 748-552, and 686-551 for a total-pinfall victory of 2,102 to 1,643.

Ariel Houseknecht shot a 486 series, while junior Serenity Conklin had a 460, 8th-grader Karis Hayes added a 457, and freshman Emily Houseknecht tacked on a 427.

Abby Herczeg led CV with a 414.

JV BOYS
Waverly 5, Chenango Valley 0

Colten Santalucia and Maison Apgar led Waverly to a 5-0 sweep of Chenango Valley.

The junior Wolverines won by a total-pinfall count of 2,084 to 1,537.

Santalucia shot a 547, including a 207, and Apgar had a 452.
