BOYS GOLF: LUTHER, ROE LEAD TIOGA TO WIN OVER WAVERLY (14 PHOTOS) (2024-04-20)

WAVERLY — Junior James Luther carded a career-low round to lead Tioga to a win over Waverly here Friday afternoon in non-league boys golf action at The Club at Shepard Hills.

Tioga shot a four-player aggregate score of 176, while the Wolverines were incomplete with just three players.

Luther fired a 40 on the par-37 front nine at Shepard Hills, while senior Tyler Roe shot a 41, and senior Evan Sickler had a 44.

Senior Caden Bellis added a 51 for the Tigers, while senior Brandon Rafferty, and sophomore Dominic Palmer tacked on non-scoring rounds of 54 and 61, respectively.

Junior Carson McIsaac led the Wolverines with a 45, while freshman Daniel Fisher had a 60, and sophomore Tristan Campbell tacked on a 64.

Tioga, now 4-1, returns to action Tuesday at Tioga Country Club, while Waverly hosts Dryden April 29.
