NTL TRACK & FIELD: QUIROS PACES SAYRE'S EFFORTS AT BALD EAGLE INVITE (2024-04-21)

LOCK HAVEN — Junior Marco Quiros made Sayre’s only trip to the podium at the Bald Eagle Track & Field Invitational here Friday at Lock Haven University, but the Redskins did have several personal-best performances.

Quiros finished second in the 100-meter dash in 11.43 seconds, but that was his only event of the day as he was forced to withdraw from the remainder due to illness.

Junior Rose Shikanga was ninth in the 100-meter hurdles in 17.87 seconds, She was 13th in the 300-meter hurdles in 53.0 seconds.

Senior Hunter Kimball was 13th in the 2,000-meter steeplechase in a personal-best  time of 8:02.37

Freshman Hunter Malanoski was 22nd in the shot put at a personal-best heave of 39-feet, 1 1/4-inches

Freshman Glenn VanBenthuysen ran a personal-best time of 5:12.0 in the 1,600-meter run, and freshman Dominick Musick ran a personal-best time of 2:29.

Sayre returns to action Tuesday in a tri-meet at Williamson,
