THE VALLEY — It’s another extremely busy week in the Valley, but the weather looks very good for a change, and, aside from Wednesday, there’s a very good chance everything will be played.

There are 42 events on the docket this week, including nine each on Friday and Saturday, eight on Wednesday, and one on Sunday.

The following are all of the home varsity events this week, and a few of the notable road events:

MONDAY (6)
•  Sayre hosts NTL Small School baseball rival NEB at Riverfront Park.

•  Waverly hosts Chenango Forks on the tennis courts.

TUESDAY (5)
•  The Athens baseball and softball teams host NTL Large School rival Troy.

•  Tioga hosts Newark Valley on the links at Tioga Country Club.

WEDNESDAY (8)
•  Sayre baseball and softball hosts NTL Small School rival Cowanesque Valley.

•  Tioga baseball and softball hosts IAC North foe Moravia.

THURSDAY (4)
•  Tioga baseball and softball hosts IAC North rival Marathon.

•  Waverly hosts Chenango Valley on the tennis courts.

FRIDAY (9)
•  Athens, Sayre, and Waverly are in action at the annual Lasagna Track & Field Invite at Wyalusing.

•  Sayre baseball and softball hosts NTL Small School rival Williamson.

•  Waverly baseball and softball hosts STAC rival Oneonta.

SATURDAY (9)
•  Waverly hosts former IAC rival Lansing on the baseball diamond.

•  Sayre hosts Notre Dame in a non-league softball contest.

•  Waverly hosts Johnson City in flag football action under the lights at Memorial Stadium.

•  Waverly tennis hosts Lansing.

SUNDAY (1)

•  Sayre hosts Wellsboro on the baseball diamond at Riverfront Park.
