THE VALLEY — Athens hosts NTL Large School rival Troy on the baseball and softball diamonds in Tuesday’s marquee match-ups.

BASEBALL
Troy (7-2) at Athens (4-5), 4:30 p.m.: The Wildcats are coming off an 8-6 10-inning loss to Sayre Saturday, while the Trojans rolled to a doubleheader sweep of Shamokin by scores of 27-3 and 18-5.

Troy has scored 95 runs in its last six games, scoring less than 12 just once in a 9-7 loss to Canton.

In their first meeting, Troy won at home, 4-2.

SOFTBALL
Troy (6-1) at Athens (3-4), 4:30 p.m.: The Wildcats are coming off a 14-2 win over Sayre Saturday, while the Trojans rolled to a doubleheader sweep of Wellsboro Friday by scores of 16-1 and 24-3.

In their first meeting, Troy won at home, 4-2.
