DRYDEN — The Tompkins-Cortland CC softball team has won four in a row, and a quartet of Tioga grads — sophomores Abby Foley, Gabby Foley, and Austyn Vance, and freshman Mykenzie Thetga — have been big contributors in the hot streak.

On Friday, TCCC swept a home doubleheader from SUNY Broome by scores of 9-0, and 13-4.

In the opener, Abby Foley doubled and singled, scored two runs, stole one base, and drove in one run, while Thetga was 2-for-2 with one RBI, Gabby Foley tripled, scored two runs, and had two RBI, and Vance singled, scored one run, and drove in one run.

In the nightcap, Abby Foley tripled, scored two runs, and had two RBI, while Gabby Foley tripled, scored three runs, and drove in one run, Vance tripled, scored one run, and had two RBI, and Thetga had one RBI.

On Sunday, TCCC swept another home twinbill, beating SUNY Niagara by scores of 13-0 and 10-4.

In the opener, Abby Foley had two hits, two runs scored, two stolen bases, and two RBI, while Gabby Foley hit an inside-the-park home run, scored three runs, and had three RBI, Thetga singled and drove in one run, and Vance had one RBI.

On the season, Gabby Foley is hitting .467 (14 hits in 30 ABs) with three doubles, two triples, one home run, 15 RBI, 13 runs scored, and three stolen bases.

Abby Foley is hitting .371 (13 hits in 35 ABs) with two doubles, two triples, one home run, nine RBI, 17 runs scored, and seven stolen bases.

Thetga is hitting .250 (4 hits in 16 ABs) with three RBI.

Vance is hitting .206 (7 hits in 34 ABs) with two doubles, one triple, one home run, 11 RBI, five runs scored, and two stolen bases.

TCCC, now 4-8, returns to action in doubleheaders at Hudson Valley CC Thursday, and SUNY Adirondack Saturday.
