WYALUSING — Junior Marco Quiros sprinted to a pair of second-place finishes here Friday at the annual Lasagna Track & Field Invitational.

The Sayre boys finished 14th in the 25-team field with 16 points. Troy won the team title with 105.5 points, while Northwest Area was second at 83.5 points, Pocono Mountain West was third with 63.5 points, Tunkhannock was forth with 56 points, and Waverly finished fifth with 48 points.

The Lady Redskins did not score a team point. Athens won the team title with 98 points.

BOYS
Junior Marcos Quiros was the only point-winner of the day for the Redskins.

Quiros finished second in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.45 seconds. He was also second in the 200-meter dash in a time of 22.99 seconds.

Senior David Huang finished 18th in the shot put with a heave of 38-feet, 8-inches, and freshman Hudson Malanoski was 22nd at 37-feet, 8 1/2-inches.

Freshman Declan Barry finished 20th in the 300-meter hurdles in a time of 51.71 seconds. He was was 21st in the 100-meter hurdles in 22.16 seconds.

Malanoski finished 20th in the javelin with a throw of 106-feet, 3-inches.

Junior Ryan Ressler was 25th in the triple jump at 34-feet, 4-inches.

GIRLS
Senior Liz Shaw finished 15th in the triple jump with a mark of 27-feet, 9-inches, while freshman Neveah Rounsville was 20th in 24-feet, 8 1/2-inches, and junior Morgan Hickey was 21st at 22-feet, 6-inches.
