WYALUSING —  Senior Micah Chandler was a triple-winner to lead the Waverly boys to a fifth-place finish here Friday at the Lasagna Track & Field Invite, while senior Mackenzie LaForest paced the Lady Wolverines’ efforts.

BOYS
Troy won the team title with 105.5 points, while Northwest Area was second with 83.5 points, Pocono Mountains West was third at 63.5 points, Tunkhannock was fourth with 56 points, and Waverly tallied 48 points.

Chandler won the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.26 seconds, while junior Kolsen Keathley was fourth in 11.72 seconds, and junior Xavier Watson was 10th in 12.05 seconds.

Chandler also won the 200-meter dash in a time of 22.74 seconds, while Keathley was third in 23.61 seconds, and senior Charlie Larrabee was 11th in 24.66 seconds.

Chandler, Keathley, and Watson teamed with senior Ralph Johnson to win the 400-meter relay in a time of 43.52 seconds, which hits the N.Y. State Super Standard — guaranteeing the relay a trip to States providing it competes at the Section IV Championships.

The Waverly foursome of senior Liam Wright, junior Nic Mattison, freshman Chase Hine, and sophomore Hayden Howe teamed to place fifth in the 3,200-meter relay in a time of 9:31.6.

Freshman Rhylee Stotler placed seventh in the pole vault at 10-feet, and Rylan Larson finished eighth in the freshman 100-meter dash.

Senior Jacob Benjamin finished eighth in the discus with a toss of 119-feet, 6-inches, and sophomore Troy Beeman was 16th in 107-feet, 6-inches. Benjamin finished 13th in the shot put with a heave of 39-feet, 11 1/2-inches, and Beeman was 14th at 39-feet, 2-inches.

Senior Nehemiah Anthony finished 11th in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 19.76 seconds, and Watson was 13th in the high jump at 5-feet, 6-inches.

Junior Seth Noto finished 14th in the long jump at 18-feet, 6-inches. Noto finished 23rd in the triple jump with a mark of 35-feet, 3 1/2-inches, and senior Thomas Morley was 26th at 34-feet, 1 1/2-inches.

Wright finished 20th in the 3,200-meter run in a time of 10:52.66.

Mattison finished 22nd in the 800-meter run in 2:17.34, and Howe was 25th in 2:19.60

GIRLS
Waverly finished 10th in the team standings with 10.5 points, while Athens ran away with the team title with 98 points, well ahead of runner-up Holy Redeemer, which had 68 points, and third-place Tunkhannock, which had 67.

LaForest placed third in the shot put with a heave of 30-feet, 11-inches. She finished 15th in the discus with a toss of 75-feet, 4-inches.

The quartet of seniors Caprice Haney and Haylie Davenport, sophomore Haley Larrabee, and 8th-grader Kaylin Twedt teamed to finish seventh in the 1,600-meter relay in a time of 4:28.93.

Twedt, Davenport, and Larrabee teamed with sophomore Mira Kittle to finish eighth in the 400-meter relay in a time of 53.87 seconds.

Taylor Sinsabaugh finished seventh in the freshman 1,600-meter run in a time of 6:59.88, and Devinity Fischer finished eighth in the freshman 100-meter dash in a time of 14.93 seconds.

Haney finished eighth in the high jump at 4-feet, 6-inches.

Sophomore Mackenzie Chamberlain finished 10th in the 3,200-meter run in a time of 12:57.6.

Kittle finished 15th in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 19.06 seconds.

Senior Elizabeth Vaughn was 16th in the 1,600-meter run in a time of 5:56.67. Vaughn also finished 16th in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:41.33, and junior Harper Minaker was 22nd in 2:44.48.

Twedt finished 16th in the 100-meter dash in 13.92 seconds, and Davenport was 23rd in 14.16 seconds.

Larrabee was 19th in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:07.52.
